Victory Health Outreach has a mission to help Ohioans regain and retain physical, mental and spiritual health. By presenting simple lifestyle principles to the community, we aim to increase public awareness and ultimately increase our community’s health.
Our educational approach is threefold:
- Supper Club Cooking Demos. We host monthly meetings where all are invited to watch a live, real-time cooking demonstration of a plant-based meal. This cooking demo is followed by a group meal where the attendees may taste and experience the superior flavors of a plant-based meal.
- Wellness Expo Events. These are interactive events, where the broader community is invited to learn about comprehensive lifestyle improvement strategies. We also provide free services such as health assessments, health screenings, and health counseling.
- Lecture Events. We host an ongoing lecture series that discusses the latest evidence that shows how to use a healthy diet and lifestyle to prevent and even reverse some chronic lifestyle diseases. We cover topics ranging from high-blood pressure, diabetes, cardiac disease, arthritis, and much more.
All our events are free and open to the public. Ultimately, we are seeking to build a more enlightened and educated community, in a safe and inclusive environment, while having fun.
It has been estimated that if communities only adopted the eight health principles we promote at our expos, mortality rates for cancer and cardiovascular diseases could drop by 60-70% and 70-80% respectively. Longevity could be increased by 6-12 years, with better quality of life. Medical costs would be greatly reduced, and people could live better, healthier lives.
